Happy anniversary: Newsarama marks the fifth anniversary of indy publisher AiT-PlanetLar, which published Astronauts In Trouble: Live From The Moon #1 on this date in 1999. Publisher Larry Young talks about the past half-decade, as well as the outlook for the future of the company and the medium:

When you see Entertainment Weekly, and Variety, and Wired, and other mass-media treating comics seriously as an art form, well, of course that’s reflected in growth. I can’t even tell you the last time I saw a “BAM! POW! BIFF! COMICS AREN’T JUST FOR KIDS ANYMORE!” headline, and that’s nothing but good, if you ask me."
