IDT plans horror film anthology

ICv2.com reports that IDT Entertainment has announced plans for a series of 13 one-hour films called Masters of Horror Film Anthology, which will feature some of the top directors and writers in the genre.

Among the directors are John Carpenter, Joe Dante, Tobe Hooper, John Landis and George Romero. Writers include Richard C. Matheson, Steve Niles, David Schow, Michael Brandt and Derek Haas.

The retailer website notes, "Given the length, these are unlikely candidates for theatrical release. Home video distribution is definite, probably in conjunction with some form of TV."
