Still cranky after all these years

The San Jose Mercury News previews a local appearance by Harvey Pekar, who's apparently still cranky. And whiny. Here he is on his book deal with Random House:

"I'm just real apprehensive about how they'll be received. My basic income is my civil service pension, and that's not enough to support me, my wife and my kid. I've been supplementing my income since the movie by doing straight prose and comic writing. I've also done some speeches."
