Reign in Spain: Marv Wolfman returns from hiatus to tell us how much better comic conventions in Spain are than the ones in the United States. Apparently, Spain is a magical land of milk and honey in which they celebrate the medium in free citywide festivals, and the focus is on the creators, not the vendors.

Now, I'm not sure whether this mythical "Spain" really exists, but it sounds great -- particularly if you're a creator on the gravy train.

"Writers and artists were brought to the convention for an entire week if they wanted, with airfare, hotel and food all paid for," Marv writes. "All that was expected of any of us was to show up for a one hour 'interview,' a few minor press meetings, and the Haxtur Awards dinner the last night of the festival."
