FF heading to TV (again): The Hollywood Reporter has word that Marvel Enterprises and singed a deal with France's Antefilms Productions to produce an animated TV series based on the Fantastic Four. Twenty-six half-hour episodes are planned for release in late 2006. Here's Marvel Avi Arad:

"What we are trying to do with our major brands is to support them in every way possible. To support the franchise between sequels, we'll have the animated series, the video games (through Activision) and the merchandise licensing. We are just elated to be reintroducing this huge property."

This would be the fourth animated TV series about the Fantastic Four. Previous incarnations ran from 1967 to 1970, 1978 to 1979, and 1994 to 1996 (the last as part of the Marvel Action Hour). A series featuring a young Ben Grimm, called The Thing, aired from 1979 to 1980.
