Dress up like R. Crumb, win a dinner with his wife

Well, this is odd.

Publishers Weekly
(subscription required) reports that MQ Publications, publisher of The R. Crumb Handbook, is sponsoring a Robert Crumb look-alike contest. The winner will be flown to New York City later this year for a two-hour dinner with cartoonist Aline Kominsky-Crumb, wife of R. Crumb.

Entrants must send a digital photo of themselves dressed as the underground cartoonist. For more information on the contest, which begins April 1, visit the book's website.

On a related note, Newsweek has a Q&A with Aline, who discusses the book, Terry Zwigoff’s documentary, and whether her husband is a misogynistic and a racist.
