“JMS didn’t want the Siegfried and Roy Dr. Strange. No poofy collars and sleeves and opera gloves. He looked like Liberace. I know there are longtime fans who are going to say, ‘They ruined my favorite character.’ I’m not saying we’re making Dr. Strange a young black woman. You just have to look past the surface and stay true to the core of the character. The X-Men have costume changes, like, every three months.”
