Columbus gets that sinking feeling

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Chris Columbus (Home Alone, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone) is set to direct and produce Sub-Mariner, based on Marvel's aquatic prince.

David Self (Thirteen Days, Road to Perdition) wrote the screenplay for what's supposed to be an epic undersea film.

Marvel's Avi Arad is excited:

"This is a giant project. Chris and I have been talking about this for six years, and once he saw where we were going with it and the world we were going to create, he jumped in."
