Adult Swim's female audience grows

Via comes word that the female audience for Cartoon Network's influential Adult Swim block has grown substantially. According to ratings information for November, the 18- to 34-year-old audience grew some 24 percent over last year. Within that group, the female audience jumped 88 percent:
These numbers imply a growing over-all market and a growing female market for the products associated with the shows on Adult Swim. The block continued to be the #1 programming on basic cable for adults 18-24.
The Toonami block, which has been moved to Saturday evenings, saw 8 percent more viewers than the same time slot did a year ago. Teen Titans was the strongest Toonami program, with a 37-percent increase over the same time slot a year ago.
